15 minReversing is one of the most dangerous vehicle movements on site. The first option is to eliminate or reduce the need to reverse, not automatically rely on a banksman.
20 minThe driver must be able to see you at all times, and you must see the vehicle route without stepping into its path.
15 minSignals must be simple, large and agreed before the manoeuvre. Never invent signals or give contradictory instructions.
25 minA safe manoeuvre begins before the vehicle moves and ends only when it is stopped, secured and the driver confirms completion.
20 minKnow the site's emergency procedure before your first manoeuvre: how to raise the alarm, who to report to and where the assembly point is.
